Quantum Computing - Microsoft Azure

Details
Talk Abstract
Quantum Computing will allow us to compute in a billion parallel universes at the same time. The storage of information over the last four thousand years really hasn't changed that much, from 2500BC we had the abacus and you stored an integer in a bead. In the twentieth century the integrated circuit was developed and we stored a zero or a one (again an integer) in a transistor. With Quantum Computing you can store a zero and one at he same time in a state called superposition that, coupled with another property called entanglement, allows you to access and exponentially larger number of computational spaces and with that larger number of computational spaces you can solve problems you just couldn't dream of solving in the past.
Katie and Mutaz is will take us through the basic details of these concepts of how QC works, no physics background necessary, and share some examples of the potential power of QC.
