CCL Climate Advocate Training

Join us for a special Climate Advocate Training and launch of the Memphis Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL)!
This interactive workshop will be led by CCL’s Tennessee State Leader, an environmental lawyer and legal expert. You’ll gain practical skills, inspiration, and community support to make a meaningful impact on climate solutions — right here in Memphis and beyond. Snacks provided!

Our Memphis chapter is already making a difference!

• We hold two lobby meetings each year with members of Congress.
• We reach out to the community and encourage citizens to contact Congress about climate solutions.
• We recently led a letter-writing campaign, gathering over 100 letters from the Memphis area alone to deliver to Congress.

### 🇺🇸 What CCL Has Accomplished Nationally

Across the U.S., CCL volunteers are creating real results. During the 118th Congress (2023–2024):

• 📞 216,288 calls and messages were sent to Congress.
• 🤝 2,548 meetings were held with congressional offices.
• 🗞️ 3,903 local media hits brought climate action into the public conversation.

Some of the bipartisan legislation our volunteers helped advocate for that was signed into law includes:

• ADVANCE Act – July 9, 2024
• Growing Climate Solutions Act – December 29, 2022
• Inflation Reduction Act – August 16, 2022
• HOPE for HOMES Act – August 16, 2022
