Three levels of walk, 11.5 miles, 9.5 miles and 7 miles
Here is a description of the 9.5 miles walk:
After leaving the lay-by on the Salt Way Roman road we first take the Macmillon way to the village of Yanworth before going down to Yanworth Mill in the valley of the River Colin. Following the River we pass along the edge of Chedworth Woods to reach the remains of Chedworth Roman Villa which is now a National Trust property and worth a visit if you are ever in the area. Next we pass under a disused railway and turn into Chedworth Woods before emerging onto high ground, with good views, above Chedworth. We will then drop down to Chedworth where we will stop and have our picnic lunch near the church. After lunch we again climb to higher ground to follow the Monarchs Way until we again go down into another valley which will take us to Fossebridge, where we should have time to stop at "The Inn at Fossebridge" before taking footpaths through Camp Wood and very undulating countryside back to the lay-by on the Salt Way.
