Purchase your tickets here.The Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department is proud to bring “Jazz Group of the Year” nominee, The Lao Tizer Band feat Elliott Yamin, Chieli Minucci & Karen Briggs to the Sounds of Jazz & Blues on Saturday, March 28th in support of their new album & video release AMPLIFY.
The new release is a major evolution for the group and includes 5 new original vocals and 4 new original instrumentals with flavors of Jazz, R&B & Funk. The project was recorded and filmed all LIVE at legendary EastWest Studios in Hollywood with simultaneous 7-camera video shoot and a legendary cast of musicians. Joining keyboardist, composer and bandleader Lao Tizer for the show are; platinum-selling American Idol star Elliott Yamin, GRAMMY-nominee & 3x Emmy-winning guitarist Chieli Minucci (Special EFX), violinist extraordinaire Karen Briggs (Yanni, Diana Ross), sax-flute wunderkind Danny Janklow (Shelea, MONKestra), percussion master Joey De Leon (Big Phat Band, Poncho Sanchez), Senegalese bassist, producer and composer Cheikh N'Doye (Baaba Maal, Mike Stern) and renowned drummer Joel Rosenblatt (Spyro Gyra, Alex Bugnon, Blood Sweat & Tears). Please join us as the group takes you on a high-energy musical ride through a variety of flavors and styles with an all-star cast of musicians!
