Join us for a rare and exciting opportunity to taste wines from SHABO, one of Ukraine’s most acclaimed wineries, with Giorgi Iukuridze, founder and winemaker, joining us in person here in Virginia. This special session will dive into the challenges and triumphs of making wine in Odesa, a region shaped not only by its unique climate and Black Sea influence but also by the complex realities of modern geopolitics. Giorgi will share insights into how he balances innovation with tradition, and what it takes to keep producing world-class wines in the face of real adversity.
We’ll also be joined by Sam Lerman, founder and CEO of Spyrt Imports, who has played a key role in bringing SHABO’s wines to the U.S. market. Taste through a lineup that showcases the elegance, depth, and resilience of Ukrainian wine—and don’t forget to bring your bottles: Giorgi will be signing bottles!
