Hampden is a close-knit neighborhood in Baltimore that is known for housing many of the mill workers along the Jones Falls at the turn of the century. Join Instructor Michael Koren and explore a Hampden neighborhood in transition where the past and present collide.
We’ll have opportunities to photograph the older fading industrial areas as well as the colorful stone homes in the area.
Michael will also lead the group to a hidden area filled with colorful graffiti and a view of the river.
Topics include:
- How to create unique images that stand out
- Looking for the intimate details in urban scenes
- Effective street photography
Recommended gear: DSLR or mirrorless camera with a range from wide-angle to telephoto like 24mm to 200mm. Mobile phone cameras are also welcome.
