Do you have an interest, or even a passion for photography? Would you enjoy photographing in a vibrant, urban environment, along with other friendly and engaging people who share your interest? Are you a beginner, intermediate, or expert/pro photographer? Then you belong with us!
Our mission is to photographically explore Boston and its environs. Our vision for our Members is to learn from someone who know more than you and teach someone who know less than you. There are so many extraordinary places to photograph in the Boston area… can't wait to shoot them with you!
Our group will have at least one free, fun photo event every month, and we will also offer premium workshops (i.e., those with a fee) as well as individual and small group instruction.

Join us for this unique and exciting two-part photography event in historic Salem, MA! We well start our adventure in the morning by exploring the vibrant murals of the Punto Urban Art Museum, followed by lunch and then a visit to some of Salem's most iconic landmarks. This is a fantastic opportunity to capture both contemporary street art and the historic charm of Salem in one day. Feel free to join us for one or both parts as your time allows.
Part 1: Punto Urban Art Museum
Discover the bold colors and intricate designs of over 75 large-scale murals created by local and international artists. This open-air museum offers endless opportunities for creative photography, from wide-angle mural shots to capturing artistic details and street scenes.Part 2: Iconic Salem Landmarks
After exploring the murals and taking a quick lunch at one of local establishments, we will head to some of Salem's well-known landmarks only a short walk away. Expect to visit historic sites like the Salem Witch Trials Memorial, the picturesque waterfront, and charming colonial architecture. This part of the meetup will require a certain amount of easy walking around the town, but it will give you a variety of subjects to photograph.Event Details:

- Meeting Point: 98 Lafayette St, building across from Wendy's. Please see Photo Gallery with specific photo of where we meet. Please note we are NOT meeting at the official address of the museum which is 91-1 Peabody St.Parking and Transportation:
- Parking: Free and paid street parking is available around the museum area. There are also public parking lots nearby, including South Harbor Garage at 245 Derby Street.
- Public Transportation: The Salem MBTA Commuter Rail Station is just a 10-minute walk from the Punto Urban Art Museum, making it easily accessible from Boston and surrounding areas.Recommended Photography Equipment:
- Camera: A DSLR, mirrorless camera, or a good smartphone camera will work well.
- Lenses: Wide-angle lenses (16-35mm) are great for capturing entire murals and highly recommended for mural part of the event since some of these murals are located in very tight spots. Please also bring your standard lenses (24-70mm, 24-105mm) are ideal for mid-range shots. Long range lenses (up to 200-300mm) can also be useful.
- Filters: A polarizing filter can help reduce glare and enhance colors, particularly when photographing reflective muralsWe look forward to seeing you there and capturing both the artistic spirit and historic beauty of Salem together! Join Cityscape Photo Boston for a hands-on photography workshop focused on capturing the magic of sunset, blue hour, and nighttime - using a tripod to create striking, beautifully composed images. This is your chance to explore four curated shooting locations in Charlestown, Boston, and Cambridge, all within close proximity.
We'll feature a variety of iconic cityscapes, with a special emphasis on photographing the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge from multiple dramatic vantage points. You'll also capture the Boston skyline near TD Garden as a backdrop during the most photogenic times of day.
