Join our Cityscapers for an afternoon photography meetup at the beautiful campus of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts!
Holy Cross offers a mix of classic collegiate architecture, landscaped grounds, elevated viewpoints, and interesting urban surroundings.
Late afternoon light should provide excellent conditions for
architectural photography, detail shots, portraits, and campus scenes.
This meetup is suitable for photographers of all experience levels. Whether you shoot with a DSLR, mirrorless camera, compact camera, or smartphone, you are welcome to join us.
Possible subjects include:
- Gothic and modern campus architecture
- Walkways, courtyards, and staircases
- Landscape and telephoto compositions
- Black-and-white studies
- Street and documentary-style images around the campus perimeter
- Golden-hour lighting approaching sunset
Bring:
- Camera and lenses of your choice
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Tripod optional - not really needed
- Water/snacks if desired
We will meet near the entrance to the Prior Performing Arts Center at 4:00 PM.
Parking is available in the Visitors Parking Lot adjacent to the Prior Performing Arts Center.
As always, this is a relaxed and social photo walk. Feel free to ask questions, share techniques, and enjoy photographing with fellow enthusiasts.
Following the Meetup, we will have dinner nearby at a moderately-priced restaurant for those who would like to join us for more socializing and schmoozing.
