Season 1 Finale - The Showcase!

Today we will be showcasing the projects we've been working on over the past 12 weeks. Come meet the members of CivicTechWR and see what projects are underway to make KW a better place to live!

Season Finale Agenda

6:00 - 6:30pm: Welcome & networking
Grab some food, make yourself comfortable, and get to know the other participants! We will have calzones from Tiny Home Takeout available for a donation. All proceeds will go directly to Tiny Home Takeout.

6:30 - 6:40: Opening Remarks

6:40 - 7:10pm: Project Showcase
Each project will have 5 minutes to showcase what they've been working on over the past few months and talk about their progress and plans for the future.

The projects include:

• Waterloo Region Votes
• Connected KW
• Councilbot
• Impact Exchange
• Civic Tech Meta

7:10 - 7:30: Breakout groups
In true Civic Tech fashion, we'll have a bit of time for breakout groups. You'll have the opportunity to:

• speak further with any of the presenters
• offer your ideas or suggestions for the future of CivicTechWR
• vote for our fun awards
• take a pic at the photo booth!

7:30 - ???: Wrap Party
Head down to AOK in the basement for the afterparty 😜

What is CivicTechWR?

CivicTechWR brings together people from different sectors and industries to actively solve issues facing our local community. We welcome people with all types and levels of skills. Even though "tech" is in the name, everyone is welcome and everyone has a skill or experience that is valuable. We're here to empower people to work together, exchange ideas and tools to improve the lives of the residents in and around Waterloo Region through civic technology.
