What we’re about

We are a group of people interested in having civil discourse on a wide variety of topics. We started on Next Door but would like to reach a wider audience. In the past we have discussed topics ranging from voter suppression, immigration, the Wall, the Shutdown and just recently whether the citizenship question should be included on the census. Often we'll take a topic currently in the news, research it, present our findings at the next meeting, and argue one side or the other.
Our group's goal is still in its infancy. One possibility is to come up with solutions at the end of each discussion. At the last meeting we discussed gerrymandering and fixes ranged from redistricting based on computer algorithms or bipartisan committees to having representatives run at the state level.
Opposing views are welcome. Just remember to be civil and respectful.
Meetings are being changed to the first Thursday of every month instead of the first Tuesday. Next Meeting: February 3rd at 7:00pm.
