Why the conservative obsession with undoing “DEI” policies?

IMO, opposition to liberals' expansion of "diversity, equity, and inclusiveness" throughout U.S. society is the beating heart of the MAGA movement. Conservatives' obsession with crushing ALL DEI activities in govts, private corporations, education, and all media is the main tool they hope to use to make America great again.

I have saved a dozen major explainers of the vast scope and ambition of the war on DEI, and the motives behind it. Not all critics agree on what the motives are, and some have some sympathy with some of the Right's objections.

Soon I will start posting a few of these articles, so you will have more time to ponder them. If you choose to, they are optional of course. The TH or FR before the 9/8 mtg I will post links to the 5-6 best ones (IMO). It is hard to find arguments on "the other side" on this topic that are not over the top blood-spitting fury. (If you don't believe this, try hanging around some MAGA social media sites or even MAGA-aligned think tanks). But I will try.
