Burren Winterage Cattle Drive & Food Fayre
Sunday 25 October | Fanore, Co. Clare

This should be a very special Clare Connections day out.

We're joining the Sunday Burren Winterage Cattle Drive โ€“ a chance to experience one of the Burren's great living traditions, as hundreds of people join a local farming family in herding their cattle to their winter grazing pastures.

The Sunday walk is the longer of the weekend's two cattle drives at approximately 10.6km return, with a steeper climb and some rough and uneven Burren terrain. It also includes a beautiful 2.9km scenic road walk before we join the cattle drive.

โ›ฐ๏ธ Level: A good level of fitness and mobility is required

Please book your โ‚ฌ10 ticket before RSVPing to this Meetup, as numbers for the cattle drive are limited and advance booking is essential.

What to bring: Walking boots are essential. Bring waterproofs, suitable layers, water and something to eat. Walking poles may also be useful as some sections can be rough, slippery and uneven.

A Bank Holiday Sunday spent walking the Burren, experiencing an ancient Clare farming tradition and enjoying the Food Fayre afterwards โ€“ this should be a really memorable one.
