Reviewing Tools for Creating & Using a Local LLM: n8n & Open WebUI

Details
Xandon will demonstrate how to create a local LLM on Windows and will highlight key elements of n8n and Open WebUI necessary for setup and operation.
Stay tuned to our YouTube channel for a video based on Xandon's Claris Engage presentation on this topic.
What is n8n?
n8n is an open-source workflow automation platform for connecting various applications and services together to automate repetitive tasks and complex processes. It provides a user-friendly visual interface where you can drag and drop "nodes" representing different actions or integrations and connect them to build workflows.
From their site: “Build with the precision of code or the speed of drag-n-drop. Host with on-prem control or in-the-cloud convenience. n8n gives you more freedom to implement multi-step AI agents and integrate apps than any other tool.”
What is Open WebUI?
Open WebUI is a user-friendly, web-based graphical interface designed for interacting with and managing local Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI models. It acts as a frontend that simplifies the process of running and chatting with these models on your own computer or server.
From their site: “Open WebUI is an extensible, self-hosted AI interface that adapts to your workflow, all while operating entirely offline.”
