Charcoal Drawing for Beginners

In this event you will learn the basics of charcoal drawing:

• measuring
• shading
• composition
• value scale

Please choose three objects for your personal still life. You could use vases, bottles, fruit, etc.

Materials you'll need:
Vine or willow charcoal
Compressed charcoal
Chamois (you can improvise with a cloth or tissue)
Kneaded eraser
Sandpaper block (or regular piece of sandpaper)
Workable fixative spray
Wooden skewer (or any thin stick you can find)
Newsprint paper or at least one 18x24in charcoal or pastel drawing paper (any white drawing paper you have could also do.)
