It's a Wonderful Life (1946) James Stewart, Donna Reed
Details
December 14th, Sunday, at 12 pm. I will be in the lobby, 30 minutes before the starting time. When 15 minutes is left, I will find myself a seat. I usually sit in the middle near the center of the room, if I can. Look for the guy with a white beard and a Cardinals ball cap.
The movie--Well for those who may not know, concerns George Bailey, an individual who has big dreams that never come true. One event leads to another and he finds himself trapped in the small town environment he so desperately wants to escape. Eventually, his entire world comes crashing down, and so he . . . . . well, that's all I'm saying.
Many people in this film became, or already were, famous for other things. Lionel Barrymore was an established artist, whose etchings have been reprinted many times, Donna Reed won an Oscar and had a hit TV show, Thomas Mitchell played Scarlet O'Hara's father, Ward Bond starred in tv's Wagon Train, and Frank Faylen played Dobie Gillis's father in the tv show.
