CLASSIC EPPING FOREST WALK - Part 1
Theydon Bois Station, Theydon Bois Station, Coppice Row, Theydon Bois, Essex, CM16 7EU, Essex, GBThis is part one of our Epping Forest Walk: A CLASSIC GREEN WALK THROUGH THE DEPTHS OF EPPING FOREST.
Part two of our Epping Forest Walk takes place at 2.30pm this afternoon. Remember to RSVP for that event if you are attending.
WALK START: Theydon Bois Underground Station (Central Line - Zone 6). When you arrive at the start look for Ken with the Meetup/ 'KEN'S EVENTS' Flag/Sign/Badge.
WALK DISTANCE: Approx 6.5 miles with some gradients.
WALK ROUTE: Walk through EPPING FOREST from THEYDON BOIS to LOUGHTON .
WALK FINISH: Loughton Underground Station (Central Line - Zone 6).
STOPOUT POINTS: There are no easy stopout points on this walk.
COST OF WALK: £5 in cash payable in person.

Only wear good sturdy shoes, with ankle support, and carry a bottle of water and necessary medication. You need to be moderately fit for this walk and able to walk for at least 4 miles. This walk is suitable for the average experienced hill walker. Expect some hills. Do not attend this walk if you do not fit that description or if you have a medical condition (especially heart and/or lung conditions) that may impact upon your capability of completing the walk.
These walks are city walks and countryside walks where all the usual risks of injury during such walks apply resulting from interactions with road traffic, joggers, cyclists, e-scooters,other members of the public, animals (farm, domestic and wild), plants (allergic reactions), uneven surfaces, including portruding tree roots and potholes and there may be low overhanging branches.
In these walks we cross busy roads, use towpaths alongside water, bridlepaths, country lanes and sometimes ill defined paths and tracks through woodland, bush and countryside. Some tracks may be muddy and slippery, and conditions may be wet and icy. The walk leader is not and does not purport to be a professional guide, or a medical professional, but is instead a like minded individual who also enjoys hill walking and who is familiar with the intended route.

CLASSIC EPPING FOREST £5 WALK - PART 2
Loughton Station, IG10 4PD, London, GBThis is part two of our Epping Forest Walk: A CLASSIC GREEN WALK THROUGH THE DEPTHS OF EPPING FOREST.
Part one of our Epping Forest Walk takes place at 11.30am this morning. Remember to RSVP for that event if you are attending.
Epping Forest is one of the largest areas of ancient woodland close to London. The forest is not just woodland. It includes:
- Heathland, Grassland plains, Wetlands, Streams, Ponds and lakes
This variety of habitats makes it an internationally important conservation area. Epping Forest has a history stretching back thousands of years to the Iron Age and was once a royal hunting forest. It contains extensive areas of more than 50,000 ancient veteran oak, beech, hornbeam, birch, and holly trees.
This section is from LOUGHTON to HIGHAMS PARK (Station) and CHINGFORD MOUNT (Pub), followed by more socialising with cheap food and drinks in a pub with a convivial atmosphere.
WALK START: Loughton Underground Station (Central Line - Zone 6). When you arrive at the start look for Ken with the Meetup/ 'KEN'S EVENTS' Flag/Sign/Badge.
WALK DISTANCE: Approx 6 miles to Higham Park Station and a further 1 mile to our pub in Chingford Mount. There are some gradients.
WALK ROUTE: Epping Forest, Connaught Water, Whitehall Plain, Highams Park.
WALK FINISH: Higham Park Station (London Overground - Zone 4)/ Chingford Mount High Street.
WALK STOP OUT POINT: Near to Chingford Station
