From the Ukrainian frontline, a concert by war participants

Come to an evening event with the Cultural Forces of Ukraine sponsored by the UNC Center for Slavic, Eurasian & East European Studies.

The event, which is free, will begin with a presentation on the role of cultural diplomacy in bolstering Ukrainian morale during the ongoing war. Wen will then hear a live concert showcasing the talents of world-class Ukrainian musicians who have become active-duty soldiers.

The artists, who have participated in some of the fiercest battles of the war, will share their experiences and perform a repertoire that includes Ukrainian and world classics, popular hits, and traditional tunes featuring the bandura, a traditional Ukrainian string instrument.
