What weâre about
đż Clean Up & Connect: A Chill Hour of City Love + Social Recharge đż
Time: 1 Hour (come when you can, leave when you need)
Cost: $0
What to bring: Just yourself (gloves or grabbers if you have 'em!)
Atmosphere: Good vibes only đ
Letâs keep it simple.
This isnât a big, flashy, high-pressure event. Itâs just an hour of casually picking up litter in our cityâmaking it a little cleaner, a little better, and a little more loved. But beyond that, itâs also about connection. Not in a forced, small-talk kind of way. Just the opposite, really. This is for anyone who wants a low-stress reason to be around others, recharge their social battery, and feel like theyâre doing something that mattersâwithout needing to spend money, drink to socialize, or fake a smile.
This is for you if:
You enjoy acts of service and find peace in simple things.
Youâve been craving something social, but low-key.
Youâre tired of the same old meetups (bars, bowling, loud events).
You want to meet diverse, down-to-earth people with good hearts.
You care about the planet, your city, or just want to feel good energy again.
How it works:
Weâll meet, say hello (or not, if youâre shyâtotally welcome), and start picking up litter in a designated area. You can talk, you can listen, you can do your thing. No expectations. If youâre feeling chatty, awesome. If you want to zone out and enjoy the quiet with others nearby, also awesome.
Thereâs no competition, no cleanup quota, no judgment. Just shared purpose and presence.
The vibe?
⨠Kind
⨠Respectful
⨠Hateful behavior wonât be tolerated
⨠All comfort levels welcomeâintroverts, extroverts, ambiverts, socially exhausted people included
I personally find picking up litter super rewarding. Thereâs something meditative about it. And I kept thinkingâif even two or three other people joined in, how much of a difference we could make together. Not just in cleaning up, but in showing up. For each other, for the city, for ourselves.
Because real community shouldnât have to cost money.
Because sometimes you just need a reason to get out and do something good.
Because good karma is a real thing.
And because meaningful connection often comes from the most unexpected placesâlike cleaning up a sidewalk with someone you just met.
So if this resonatesâcome. Bring a friend, or come solo. Either way, youâre welcome.
Letâs do a little good, feel a little better, and maybe make a few connections while weâre at it.
