AI’s Evolving Role in Recent Patent Developments and Investment Activities
The impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on patent development is profound. AI is playing a transformative role in various industries, including cleantech. As AI systems increasingly contribute to the creation of groundbreaking inventions, the issue of inventorship has become increasingly complex. In response, the United States Patent Office (USPTO) has taken proactive steps to provide comprehensive guidance and useful frameworks for evaluating inventorship in AI-assisted inventions. The USPTO aims to ensure that human inventors receive the recognition and protection they deserve for their contributions.
We will provide an update on recent trends of AI’s role in clean tech inventions through the lens of patent data. Insights on the increasing role of AI in emerging clean tech innovation will be provided.
The presentation will also include an update on venture capital investment in clean tech companies. We will take a glimpse at typical deal terms for early-stage investments in the various segments of clean tech and climate tech.
Overall, AI's new role in patent developments and investment activities promises to drive innovation, improve decision-making, and ultimately transform the landscape of various industries.
