What we’re about
We are members of the Bahá'í Faith community of Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Pinellas County in Florida, U.S.A. We meet for spiritual and devotional gatherings, intellectual discussion, study of the writings of Bahá'u'lláh and all of the Bahá'í sacred scriptures. We guide seekers who are interested in spiritual growth and independent investigation of the truth. We meet in the Bahá'í centers in Clearwater and St. Petersburg and the homes of our members. We are also happy to travel to meet with you in your home if you like.
We follow the spiritual teachings of the Prophet Bahá'u'lláh, whom we believe fulfills the prophecies of the second coming of Christ, and the renewal of the teachings of Muhammad, the Lords Buddha, Krishna, Moses, Abraham and Zoroaster.
The main principles of the Faith include:
- The Oneness of God.
Bahá’ís believe that there is only one God. Baha'u'llah wrote: “O God, my God! I bear witness to Thy unity and Thy oneness, and that Thou art God, and that there is none other God but Thee.” - The Oneness of Mankind ~ The second principle of Bahá'u'lláh proclaims the oneness of the human race and that now is the time for the complete eradication of racism and prejudice of all kinds.
- Oneness of Religion ~ Bahá’u’lláh taught that all world religions worship the same God and all of the world religions can be considered individual chapters of one great book of religion.
- Individual Search for Truth.
- The Harmony of Science and Religion.
- Equality of Women and Men.
- Elimination of Extreme Wealth and Poverty.
- Universal Compulsory Education.
- The establishment of a universal auxiliary language.
- World Peace Upheld by a Commonwealth of Nations.
