Clearwater Outrigger Canoe Club

Join the Clearwater Outrigger Canoe Club for an exciting Paddle Workshop! Whether you are new to paddling or a seasoned pro, this event is perfect for anyone looking to explore a new sport, meet other paddlers, and improve their paddling skills and fitness level. Perfect for kayak or SUP paddlers interested in exploring canoe paddling. Our instructors will provide valuable tips on outrigger paddling techniques and provide on-the-water instruction in our 6-seat outrigger canoes. Focus will include an orientation to Hawaiian canoe culture and safety on the water. This workshop promises to be both educational and exhilarating. Coaching by former TEAM USA paddlers with 20+ years of experience in dragon boat, outrigger and surf ski paddling. (Make sure you check your settings under your profile, so that you can receive messages from us on the group event!)

Wear comfortable board shorts and suits, long sleeve sunshirts, water shoes, hats. Please hydrate well a day or two in advance; please bring water in plastic (not metal) bottles. Sunscreen is important! Paddlers should feel comfortable getting wet, be able to swim and tread water, or bring a personal flotation device (PFD.) PFD's will also be available to use and are carried in every canoe. Paddles will be provided.
