Song of Solomon- Toni Morrison

Details
This Black history month join me in celebrating the award winning author Toni Morrison:
Song of Solomon follows the journey of Macon "Milkman" Dead III, a young African American man in Michigan during the 1930s and 1940s. Milkman grows up in a troubled family with a distant father and a mother who is emotionally detached. Throughout the novel, he embarks on a journey to learn about his family’s history and uncover his roots, which leads him to discover important truths about his ancestors, his community, and himself.
The novel explores themes of identity, freedom, and the search for meaning, weaving in elements of African American folklore and history, as well as addressing issues of racism and social inequality.
