Exploring Little Italy [Private Tour with Take-a-Hike]

Join Adventure Club for an immersive walking tour through Cleveland's Little Italy, a vibrant neighborhood that has preserved its rich Italian roots since the late 19th century. Discover the stories, landmarks, and cultural touchstones that have made this enclave a cherished part of the city's tapestry.

Led by a knowledgeable local historian deeply connected to the community, our unique experience will include:

• A stroll along Mayfield and Murray Hill Roads, the historic heart of Little Italy, where Italian immigrants settled in the late 1800s, establishing a tight-knit community centered around marble works and artisan trades
• A visit to Holy Rosary Church, a cornerstone of the neighborhood since 1908, serving as a spiritual and cultural hub for generations
• Insights into the artistic legacy of the area, highlighting local galleries and the contributions of Italian-American artists who have shaped the neighborhood's creative spirit
• A glimpse into the culinary traditions, with stories of family-owned bakeries, trattorias, and the invention of the first hand-crank pasta machine by resident Angelo Vitantonio in 1906
