What we’re about
There are many people who have fought hard for Social Security Disability approval due to mental health and physical illness. We absolutely cannot work due to these disabilities even though we want to work we want to feel good and contribute to society but unfortunately we were injured or fell ill. Now that the cost of living is so high in Ohio, people are becoming homeless or barely getting by on their social security checks. People now are being denied Medicaid due to making $100 dollars more than is allowed, but this number is based on the price of housing food and medical bills in the early 2000’s. I used to pay $800 for an apartment and now nothing is lower than 1,200 unless it’s condemnable. This group is for people to ban together to address these problems with lawmakers in Ohio and brainstorming ideas on how to invoke change and put it into action.
