dbt Demystified: Data Warehousing for Python Users
Moving analytics from spreadsheets and desktop tools into a cloud data warehouse can feel overwhelming with all the buzzwords and complexity. dbt and the discipline of analytics engineering provide a clear, practical path forward: proven tools, best practices, and a strong open-source community. In this session, we’ll demystify dbt and show how it empowers Python users to:

  • Apply an ELT strategy
  • Organize warehouses with staging and marts layers
  • Use features like version control, testing, docs, and CI/CD

You’ll leave with a roadmap for turning scattered scripts and databases into a modern, scalable data warehouse — and see how dbt bridges the gap between data engineering and analytics.
