I love the Drive-In experience and try to attend at least once a year.
And what better fare to see at a vintage 1965 Drive-In than a great retro movie!
STAND BY ME (1986). Based on the short story by Stephen King and directed by Rob Reiner, the film tells the story of a writer recounting a childhood journey with his friends to find the body of a missing boy. The film stars River Phoenix and Corey Feldman. 90 minutes.
And for those who wish to make it a "Double Feature" night, a screening of THE OUTSIDERS (1983) follows at 10:50. The film stars Matt Dillon and Ralph Macho. 91 minutes.
The details:
I plan to arrive when doors open at 8:30 to get a good spot about 4 rows from the screen. Attendees can arrive any time after that and park anywhere. We can all congregate by my spot. Hopefully it will be a beautiful night so we can sit outside and enjoy the show. I'll bring an old boombox for the sound. Bring your own chairs! I will provide my phone number for those planning to attend so you can easily find me.
