Group Game: The Thing from the Future

Join Cleveland Community Classroom on Sunday, March 1st, 2026 for a game day spent playing Situation Lab’s The Thing from the Future. Take an hour or two and spend some time imagining a better future and what exists there.

Imagination and play are essential components of creating the personal lives and communities we want to see. Changing our world necessitates thinking outside the box, but many of us have stopped taking time for imaginative play. If we do think about the future, often it's not far outside of our status quo.

The Thing from the Future is an individual or small group game that will facilitate using our imagination to create positive objects that exist in the future.

If you enjoy story-based games and storytelling, drawing and sketching, or need to take some time focusing on happier futures, we hope you'll join us!

This activity will be followed by discussion, snacks, and conversation.
