The venue is asking for everybody to purchase their thingy to secure spots no later than nov 6! 😊
No payments can we meet at the door because they need to make sure to get the clay chicken in the backyard to lay clay eggs to make sure that we have enough clay eggs to mold into clay windchimes.
What is squishy and wet and takes the shape of whatever you form it into? It’s not Play-Doh, caulk, or cookie batter. It’s not even hummus or guacamole— although I have been known to be surprised by hummus “bricks” behind the pickle jar after I swore I ate that hummus months ago!
What are we talking about here, People? I am talking about something that we are resting on right at this very moment— and that is soil, dirt, and clay. Yes, clay. Even several layers down in the Earth, it’s there. And it’s calling your name. “Heeeeyyyyyy [to be extra creepy, insert your name here] it’s CLAYyyyyyyy- let’s playyyyyyyy!!! OKayyyyyy?!”
Ahhhhh yessss, clay…. C L A Y….. Amazing, creativity-provoking, artistic-inspiring, calming, stress-relieving, malleable, durable, kiln-able, usable goodness!
Come join me on a journey with CLAY at The Drawing Board Arts, a Family Business where “Art is created, not critiqued” in a class taught by the talented, passionate, Professional Artist Alexis Rubertino in making clay art.
Meet Alexis and her mom Renee:

We will be making windchimes- art that not only you can see, but you can hear! Notice I did not say you can taste. So do not eat the clay. I repeat: do NOT eat the clay. Experiencing one’s lunch again is NOT part of the class. So NO eating of the clay. Ever.
You can reminisce about this fun experience long after the class is over every time you hear the following on a breezy day / when the fan is on: clink clink clink clink clinkity clink clink clink!
Payment
The class is $45 and will cover all materials, including beautiful objects that can be used to make imprints and patterns in the clay. Please feel free to bring anything you would like to use to make imprints and patterns as well!
Please pay here:

**When will my art be ready? **
It takes up to several days for your creations to be kilned. You can pick these up at a later date, or I can pick them up for you and hang onto them for you until I see you again!
**What do I wear? **
Your clothes will not get ruined in class- everything can be washed off with soap and water. Might I suggest to wear something you won’t mind gets a little dirty. For those of you who like to be fancy, do NOT wear your tuxedo or ballgown. And NO birthday suits please - even if you are extra messy, you are not allowed to take a shower in the sink!
How long will the class last?
The class will be held in our own private room and lasts for around 2 1/2 hours! And then I hope you will join me in getting something to chitty-chatty eatties at a the nearby restaurant Golden Dragon https://www.goldendragonmayfield.com/ 5871 Mayfield Rd for a 6:00 PM reservation.
Can I bring snacks and something to drink?
Yes and yes- but NO alcohol please!
