BUT, and that’s a very big BUTT: sometimes people sign up BUT don’t come, and that makes me hangry!!! It also makes me want to start giving spankings — because then people who are on the waitlist don’t get a chance to come! So everybody loses. We don’t want everybody to lose, do we?! imagine yourself in their place. The worst part of it is, is that I don’t get to see your cutie patootie little face! And the rest of your friends here don’t get to see your cutie little patootie face either! We can’t have that, can we?!

This $1.00 goes to Meetup and reserves your spot! If I do not see this dollar from you by the deadline (in the title of the posting), then I will very very VERY
reluctantly have to move you to the waitlist and your spot is no longer guaranteed. 

The $1.00 is non-refundable to hold your spot. If you can’t attend, please cancel so someone on the waitlist can join. If the one dollar is not paid by the deadline, you will be moved to the waitlist.

This $1.00 is separate from the cost of the activity which goes to the venue. I will always give you a means to pay the venue. Some venues don’t have a cost, but that does not mean you get out of paying Meetup the $1.00.

The Lunar New Year or Spring Festival is commonly referred to as Chinese New Year, Tết in Vietnamese, Seollal (설날) in Korean, Losar ལོ་གསར in Tibet, and Tsagaan Sar in Mongolian. It begins on February 10, 2026. Families begin preparing weeks before, and celebrations last for two weeks until the Lantern Festival.

According to the zodiac calendar, this year will begin the Year of the Horse, which is known for growth, power, and abundance.

Vendors, food, cultural performances abound!

We will meet inside Asia Plaza in front of LiWah restaurant between 12 PM and 1230 for a 12:30 PM start . LiWah restaurant  is inside Asia Plaza at 2999 Payne Ave Cleveland Ohio.
Important :::::::This is the same place. We will all meet back at for lunch at 3 PM. The table is reserved under “AlexAndria”.

When I see you, I will be asking for account of who will be joining us for lunch because I need to update the number I already gave to the restaurant so please be prepared to answer my question- I need to get back to angie and let her know - so you can ask your tummy now in advance. 🤣

We have a large group in a somewhat tight space so what we will do is we will meet at the meeting point, and then we will meander throughout the event - some people may break up into small groups or lose one another- and then see each other again in this venue, it could be at the grocery store. Maybe it will be by the herbal shop maybe by the dancers who knows but I guarantee that you guys will be seeing each other all day. Never fear we will all be together again at 3 PM at the restaurant - where we started 💕.

Look for me you will not miss me . I will wear something that you will notice. And no, I will not be naked because that is not that kind of Meetup - so get your head out of the gutter 😆🤣 besides I an Chinese and we don’t do such things!

We will meander around Asia Plaza - indoors to check out the activities. Everything we are doing is within the plaza - Wear comfy shoes. And come hooongreee! We will eat at 3:00 at LiWah restaurant where our starting point was.— reservations under “AlexAndria”. Parking is available at the Asia Plaza and around the area. You may need to park in a lot and pay for parking. It will be very busy. There is also a great giant grocery store in Asia Plaza so if you are interested in Asian cooking, you can get your ingredients there!
