The Lunar New Year or Spring Festival is commonly referred to as Chinese New Year, Tết in Vietnamese, Seollal (설날) in Korean, Losar ལོ་གསར in Tibet, and Tsagaan Sar in Mongolian. It begins on February 10, 2026. Families begin preparing weeks before, and celebrations last for two weeks until the Lantern Festival.

According to the zodiac calendar, this year will begin the Year of the Horse, which is known for growth, power, and abundance.

Vendors, food, cultural performances abound!

We will meet inside Asia Plaza in front of LiWah restaurant which is inside Asia Plaza at 2999 Payne Ave Cleveland Ohio.

Look for me you will not miss me . I will wear something that you will notice. And no, I will not be naked because that is not that kind of Meetup - so get your head out of the gutter 😆🤣 besides I an Chinese and we don’t do such things!

We will meander around Asia Plaza - indoors AND outdoors to check out the activities. All within walking distance. Wear comfy shoes. And come hooongreee! We will eat at 3 at LiWah restaurant where our starting point was.— reservations under “AlexAndria”. Parking is available at the Asia Plaza and around the area. You may need to park in a lot and pay for parking. It will be very busy. There is also a great giant grocery store in Asia Plaza so if you are interested in Asian cooking, you can get your ingredients there!
