Buddhism, Antiquing, Fun-ing, and a Meal- Yeah!
Details
Thanks for being the BEST part of Cleveland Eastside Fun — you make these events absolutely Aah maaaa zing! BUT, and that’s a very big BUTT: sometimes people sign up BUT don’t come, and that makes me hangry!!! It also makes me want to start giving spankings — because then people who are on the waitlist don’t get a chance to come! So everybody loses. We don’t want everybody to lose, do we?! imagine yourself in their place. The worst part of it is, is that I don’t get to see your cutie patootie little face! And the rest of your friends here don’t get to see your cutie little patootie face either! We can’t have that, can we?! Never fear I have fixed this problem: So now you owe me a dollar. Yesssss a dollar. For realzzzzzz. And this is not just any dollar —this is a MAGICAL dollar!!! The US mint only makes magical dollars every 72 years, almost like Haley’s Comet! This $1.00 goes to Meetup and reserves your spot! If I do not see this dollar from you by the deadline (in the title of the posting), then I will very very VERY reluctantly have to move you to the waitlist and your spot is no longer guaranteed. The $1.00 is non-refundable to hold your spot. If you can’t attend, please cancel so someone on the waitlist can join. If the one dollar is not paid by the deadline, you will be moved to the waitlist. The Meetup site is cray cray and so I am inputting my payment methods for the MAGICAL $1 here; thank you for your patience: PAYPAL: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/YTLQVTEM7KR8Q VENMO: Please find AlexAndriaCESF I will manually check in VENMO or PAYPAL to see if you have paid the MAGICAL $1, so do not be alarmed if your status on ‘Meetup’ still shows as ‘unpaid’. Remember: This $1.00 is separate from the cost of the activity which goes to the venue. I will always give you a means to pay the venue. Some venues don’t have a cost, but that does not mean you get out of paying Meetup the $1.00. Capisce!!? And now a drum roll please. I said drum. roll. Please! ———
Have you ever wondered about Nichiren Buddhism? Like other religious practices, it is about finding joy!
Many of you youzzzzz guyzzzzz have asked me about Buddhism, and I just happen to be Buddhist! So I am delighted to share with you my practice, BUT, and that is a very big BUTT - I am in no way attempting to change your belief system! This gathering will be purely for educational purposes. So you can ask as many questions as your itty-bitty witto mouth can hold!
Stop 1:
We will be meeting at my friends Mary and Tom house at 1:00 pm.
And because we will be in the neighborhood of lovely Painesville, why not make the day of it?
After the Buddhist event, we are going 9 minutes away to go antiquing- and not just any antiquing!!!I am talking over 150 vendor booths in a space that is 47,000 ft.² — one of the biggest antique malls in all of Ohio!
Stop 2:
Shops by the Lake (antique mall)
1871 N Ridge Rd, Painesville
I almost feel like I need to tie little strings around all your pinkies so I can attach another little string to those little strings so I can hold all the little strings together— kind of like a little doggy puppy walker— only because I don’t want you guys to get lost, because after we finish here, we are going to go here next:
Stop 3:
Take a walk by beautiful Lake Erie- we will look for a beautiful stone that we could put in our little pocket so we can remember this beautiful experience. Yes we are stealing one rock from the beach one rock each. Don’t get any ideas. We’re not going to have a wheel barrel full of rocks just one. We don’t want to get arrested.
Stop 4: yessssssss it’s eatties time!!!!! Thai food yum: 5:30 pm reservation
Seesan Thai Cuisine & Bubble Tea
Long Meadow Square Shopping Center, 2736 N Ridge Rd #2, Painesville, OH 44077
So bring all your questions about Buddhism , rehearse your haggling skills for the antique mall, write out your grocery list and even bring a little cooler bag in the trunk of your car to make sure all of your fruits and veggies stay fresh, bring your comfortable shoes , some water to sip to stay hydrated, and get ready for some peaceful, compassionate, joyful, and empowering fun
