Let’s go kayaking! And not just any kind of kayaking —let’s go golden hour kayaking, an event that is private just for us because these guys usually do not do golden hour kayaks.

Did you know that when you go golden hour  kayaking that only do you not boil in the sun, but you also get to see all the little creatures that normally hide during the day —because they also don’t like boiling in the sun! We also get to see this gorgeous river in the most beautiful lighting of the day .

Photographers love this golden hour lighting, because the sun will light up our surroundings as if we are traveling through a postcard . The lighting will make our journey even more magical and spectacular. Think of it as if you were eating vanilla ice cream. It’s OK, but when you add chocolate sauce, whipped cream, sprinkles and candied pecans— not in that order , and the cherry on top -it’s even more marvelous than you can imagine . That’s how we look at golden hour lighting. 

We also might see deer, beaver, and lions and tigers and bears oh my!  baby Loch Ness monster? A Kraken? Martians. You never know what you might encounter. Muuaahhhh haaahaaa - just kidding. But for realszzz, we might see some legitimate animals !

We will meet in PAVILION NUMBER 1 at the address in the posting between 230 and 3 PM for a 3 PM start .

Bring some snacks and we will just hang out for an hour to say hello to everybody and Chitty chat. It is much easier to get to know one another in a pavilion instead of on the water!

And then, after we use the potty-because we will not be using the potty in kayaks, at 3:45ish, we will start getting into our kayaks, lifejackets, paddles, and all, and begin our journey on the water at 4:00.ish We will go for two hours and finish at 6:00ish, but we will be picked up by a shuttle and taken back to our cars.

Here are the steps each participant must take in order to book their spot. Price per person is the same regardless of the boat that is chosen. If individuals are former military, they can enter "military" in the promo code field that appears under the boat that they have chosen. If they are 62 or older, they can enter "senior" in the same field. If they are an educator, they can enter "teacher".
Chose a boat.
"military", "senior" or "teacher" can be entered in the promo code box that appears under the boat that they choose.
Under the Additional Information heading, click the Add promo or discount code link (blue text) and enter the promo code sp-10 in the field.
Check the box next to "I will send my confirmation email...." This is necessary even if only one person is renting one boat.
Enter Contact Details information. All fields must be filled out.
Enter Payment information
Click the "Book and Pay" button
Each individual will get a confirmation with a link to sign a waiver.

Bring water to sip, sunblock, hat, gloves to protect your hands , snacks so that we do not get hangry, bug spray -because the mosquitoes will definitely be hangry- and even a change of clothes so in case you get wet (I am not saying that you are going to tip over because nobody gets to tip over on my watch) you can change.

You might want to bring a towel or a plastic bag or both so that you can put that on your car seats so you don’t make a Wet Butt Print (WBP) on your car seats that stay wet many days after you have driven home ! 🤣

Might I suggest you put your phone into a Ziploc / see-through waterproof bag so that you can still take photographs, but if you drop your phone or if it gets wet that it will be OK.
Please make sure your car keys are also protected with waterproof bags.
