The DragonBoating event that was canceled May 2 has been rescheduled to…drumroll, please….. I said drumroll pleaszzzzzz- add a couple of trumpets too pleassszzzz: August 22- yeah!

For those of you who originally signed up, your payment is being held by the venue- how convenient and amazing - all you have to do is please just sign up on Meet Up sans the Meetup $1 fee—- for some reason, Meetup does not allow me to duplicate the attendee list to a rescheduled event.

I really hope that you can make this August 22 date! If this date does not work for you, first, I will be very sad and we will all miss your cutie, patootie little face. You can: 1. Get a refund, or 2. Go dragon boating on a date that works better for you. Whatever you decide, please contact the business at:

Click Submit and it takes you to the payment page. Complete that. You'll get a confirmation email.

Please ensure that you dress in layers. Otherwise, I will have to put you in my coat and hold you like a witto beh beh to keep you safe and warm ! We are entering the boat from the dock. As with all water activities, you may get wet— noooo not from falling in — but from getting splashed —-so please wear waterproof /waterresistant shoes. Bring water to drink. Gloves to protect your hands. Hat, sunglasses, sunblock lip balm. Snack. Raingear/poncho just in case. Do not forget your water bottle. I repeat. Do not forget your water bottle because believe me you will be thirsty. Unless you want to share my water bottle with me and get my germs and cooties, you will bring your own water bottle that will be full of water to drink!

Bring a change of clothes— including socks, and a jacket— and yes, even your undies ! - in case your clothes get wet—- not with p p , but with water!!!!

Remember to check the Meetup site on the day just in case we cancel due to weather. Yes I know sometimes Mother Nature won’t even listen to me!

Dragon boating isn’t supposed to be relaxing… but we are. No racing, no sweating, just paddles, laughter, and a giant dragon floating you gently across the water. Come glide, splash, and look majestic doing almost nothing.

Here is a little bit history on DRAGON BOATING : https://dragonboat.house/blogs/news/dragon-boat-festival

meet at the brown shed near Merwin's Wharf Parking between 1:30 and 2:00 pm for a 2:00 PM start to get your life vest and paddles.
There will be training out of the water first, then in the boat experience. Plan on 2 hours for the whole activity. so yes, you better make sure to use the facilities there and go pee pee before you get into the boat— otherwise your change of clothes may actually really be not just for water

Note: The river will be busy that day and throughout. Parking may be scarce near Merwin's Wharf. Suggest free street parking or paid parking lot
across the street at the Foundry.
After dragon boating, we will get something to eatties -restaurant TBA!

So bring comfortable shoes, comfortable clothes you will be out in the sun— sunblock, sunglasses, sun hat, lip balm, I highly recommend gloves because you will be holding a paddle and I don’t want your witto hands to get witto blisters- and bring water to stay hydrated! You might want to bring a itty-bitty pad (like something you would kneel on in your garden for those of us with a green thumb — or even one of those little pillows that you take on vacation with you when you were on the airplane - I am talking a small cushion — the venue may have some we can borrow- for your itty bitty tushi because I don’t want your anybody’s tushi to get sore because we’re sitting on a hard bench in the boat—-

And Get ready for some fun!
