Let's watch RoboCop! Explore why this Verhoeven film is in the Criterion Collection :)

Summary: In a violent, near-apocalyptic Detroit, the Omni Consumer Products corporation wins a contract from the city government to privatize the police force. The corporation takes action to test their crime-eradicating cyborgs and builds one cyborg from the body of a fatally-wounded street cop. This RoboCop prototype is put forth into the real world to fight crime but soon turns his focus back to his creators.

Which Year?: We'll be watching the 1987 RoboCop.
If you want to watch the 2014 remake too, that is your life choice.

Why Did I (Jocelyn) Suggest This?: This is the only movie that really scared me as a child. Learn why! Plus, there may be some themes you find interesting (trying not to give too much away).

Is It Scary?: Not really. But there are a few scenes with blood, gore, and baby food.

Where to Watch: RoboCop is available for streaming on multiple platforms and for free on YouTube and Roku Channel. Warning, the publicly available versions may be censored due to language and violence.
