Birk Brow circular 7 miles

Join our Rambler group for a seven mile walk from the car park at the top of Birk Brow (A171 Whitby Road) which includes moorland and forest paths led by Michael. From the car park we cross the A171 and over the stile (the only one on the route) to follow the moor path onto the Quakers Causeway. We continue towards Westworth Woods and into Guisborough Woods where we pick up the Cleveland Way. Once we have passed through the village of Charltons we cross the A171 again to head towards Mulgrave Park and then climb up through the woods returning to the car park via Skelton Warren and Low Moor.
A reasonable level of fitness is required to complete the route including the climb and it is hoped to be back at the car park by 5pm, There will be a short 10 minute break for a drink and/or snack if you wish to bring one.
The weather is forecast to be warm and sunny so please come prepared with suncream and water (if you need it), dress suitably including good footwear and be ready to walk, preferably 10 minutes before the start time.
