Errington Woods, New Marske

Join our Rambler group for a circular walk with some stunning views of almost 6 miles being led this week by Liz.
Our route takes us along Sandy Lane to skirt Soap Well Wood, Fir Rigg Wood and Raisbeck Wood before descending to Tocketts Beck and crossing the newly restored footbridge. We climb out from the beck and make our way past Tocketts House to Tocketts Mill and then a further climb through woodland and back across fields into Errington Woods and back to the car park. Total ascent across the route is 207m (Roseberry Topping is 320m).
Vegetation along some of the paths is high but they are still passable and two of the fields had livestock, sheep and cows, which showed no interest, but only assistance dogs on this walk.
There will be a short break half way round so please bring a drink/snack to enjoy.
Please be aware of the weather on the day and during the week prior and dress according to the conditions (wet/dry/hot) including good footwear and possibly waterproof clothing.
