This is a sci-fi horror RPG inspired by movies like Alien, Event Horizon, The Thing, and Dead Space. You are not heroes. You are stressed-out contractors, scientists, marines, androids, or desperate survivors trying to stay alive long enough to get paid — or escape.

The game is fast, lethal, and tense. Combat is dangerous, panic spreads quickly, and bad decisions tend to snowball into catastrophe. The real challenge is surviving the unknown: abandoned ships, hostile organisms, malfunctioning AI, cosmic horrors, and the terrible things people do under pressure.

Mechanically, the game is simple: when something risky happens, you roll percentile dice trying to get under your stat. The more stressed your character becomes, the more likely they are to panic when things go wrong. And in Mothership, things go wrong a lot.

The tone works best when you lean into fear, desperation, and teamwork. You don’t need to ‘win every fight.’ Sometimes the smartest move is sealing a door, running for the shuttle, or leaving someone behind.
