As soon as this academy award winning political thriller hit the screens in 1976, it instantly grabbed headlines. This is a can't miss masterpiece for fans of the Truth, Robert Redford, courageous reporting, The Washington Post, Dustin Hoffman, Watergate, the early 70's, bringing down political corruption, Deep Throat and a fondness for a time when political parties still had standards.

Here is the film synopsis:

"During 1972 the investigation by two reporters, Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, sheds light on the controversial Watergate scandal that eventually compels President Nixon to resign from his post."

The Cinematheque hasn't set the start time yet, so check back in early November. (I'm guessing 7:00 pm right now.)

We will meet in the lobby area at 7:00 pm - which might be 15 minutes prior to the screening. I recommend eating a snack before you come. After the film we will head on over to India Flame, across the street, to discuss the film and enjoy some delicious curry dishes.

Free parking is available behind the CIA building in Lot 73 as well as in the annex lot. Both of these parking lots are easily accessed from East 117th Street off of Euclid Avenue. Please use Entrance C or Entrance A to enter the building.

The Cleveland Cinematheque is located inside of the Cleveland Institute of Art (not the Cleveland Museum of Art).
