Winter Soldier (1972) at Cinematheque and of course Sittoo's after the film

Winter Solider is another film I have heard about for years but never saw. For three days in 1971, former US soldiers who were in Vietnam testify in Detroit about their war experiences. Nearly 30 speak, describing atrocities personally committed or witnessed, telling of inaccurate body counts, and recounting the process of destroying a village. This is not easy subject matter but I think the history is important. In 1971, I was 4 years old and living in Cleveland Heights with my family. I do remember the war in Vietnam being on the news. Meet by benches before and after the film. We will eat at Sittoo's after the movie.
