Global Game Jam 2015

At Global Game Jam locations around the world, teams of artists, coders, designers and musicians collaborate to build games over a weekend based on a specific theme. The Cleveland Game Devs Meetup Group will host this 2015 site at LaunchHouse. Thanks to LaunchHouse for lending the excellent space!

Your ticket price includes snacks and beverages all weekend long as well as a pizza dinner on Friday night. (On Saturday evening we'll help everyone order their choice of dinner in via DeliverMeFood.com.) GGJ Keynotes and theme announcement will start at 6:00 PM Friday night. Final game demos and post-mortems will start at 3:00 PM Sunday.

A ticket is required even if you just want to watch.

Participants may stay/sleep at LaunchHouse overnight (bring a pillow), but re-entry will not be permitted between 1am and 9am.

People interested in working with a team may form it in advance or take part in pitch sessions on Friday evening that will help make potential matches. Solo work is also an option. Participants will need to bring their own laptops or desktops and whatever software or technology they need for creating games. Wifi internet access will be available. Participants also have the option to build “paper prototype” games or board games using whatever supplies they wish to bring.

Location Hours:

Friday, January 23rd at 5:00 PM to Sunday, January 25th at 5:00 PM (Participants may stay/sleep at LaunchHouse overnight (bring a pillow), but re-entry will not be permitted between 1am and 9am.)

This event is for individuals over 18 years of age with a valid photo ID and signed liability waiver. Those under 18 years of age must have a legal guardian sign the liability waiver. Liability waivers will be handed out at the event entrance and will be available in advance.The event is non-smoking and use of alcohol or drugs is not permitted.Attendees are responsible for the security of their belongings during the event. It is recommended that attendees take their belongings home with them each night.Be excellent to each other. We’re doing this to have fun.
