We all know that it's better to stretch before doing any type of vigorous activity. The same should apply to jamming. Jamming is strenuous and sometimes there is some simple work you can do before Global Game Jam to make sure you don't hurt yourself like, make sure all of your tools are up to date, do a few programming exercises or art exercises.

Chris Sanyk has come up with the awesome idea to do a series of small sprints to make sure you're equipment, software and skills are ready for Global Game Jam. It's worth mentioning that this Pre-Jam event is totally free and not in any way required for your participation in Global Game Jam.

Here are the sprints that were purposed by Chris:

1: Install, update, test all your tools
2: See how much of an Asteroids game you can implement in 1 hour
3: Make a 2d platform engine from scratch for an hour

*in between hours we will take 15-20 minutes to show our stuff off or talk about it
