Dinner Meeting with Damian Foley of Sporting Cascades FC

Our July dinner meeting is going to be a special one! Damian Foley, Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Sporting Cascades FC, will be presenting to our members and guests about bringing professional soccer to Eugene. Their inaugural USL League One season starts in early 2027, and we're so excited to get to know more about their journey to historic Civic Park and how we can cheer them on in building a community-focused club.

About Damian Foley: He was the head of alumni marketing and communications at the University of Oregon from 2013-21. In 2021, he moved to Colorado to help launch a professional soccer team, starting a five-year journey that saw him work with professional soccer teams in Colorado, North Carolina, and Maine. He was most recently the head of communications and fan experience for Portland Hearts of Pine, the team that broke USL League One records for attendance and merchandise sales during its inaugural season in 2025. An Oregon fan from the moment he set foot in the state for the first time in 2013, Damian is overjoyed to finally be back in the place he calls "home," which eases the pain of seeing his beloved New Zealand fail to make it out of the World Cup group stage - again - this year.
