Details

Come join us for our first climate cafe of 2025 down at the Zero Waste Emporium from 6:30 - 8pm. Perhaps show up a little early and fill up some jars with bulk goods! We will serve tea light snacks, the store will stay open after hours for us :)

Climate Café: A Safe Space for Meaningful Conversations
A Climate Café is a casual, open space where people come together to discuss the challenges and solutions around climate change and the polycrisis. The format encourages small group discussions, allowing everyone to share their thoughts, listen to others, and explore ideas in a supportive environment without seeking solutions. Attendees should expect to engage in honest, thoughtful conversations with others who care about climate action and sustainability. No prior expertise in climate issues is needed—just an interest in learning and connecting with others!

Boundaries & Respect: This is a space for constructive, respectful dialogue and active listening. Discriminatory, harmful, or dismissive behavior will not be tolerated. Although supportive of mental well-being, Climate cafes are not a substitute for professional psychological care. Attendees are expected to work within a window of tolerance for discussing these topics and tend to self-care needs during the session.
