Gunung Panti Barat (531m) Dayhike

Gunung Panti Barat in Kota Tinggi is a fun little adventure for anyone who wants a quick jungle escape. Standing at around 450m, it’s not the tallest mountain, but the trail packs in a good mix of nature, challenge, and views.

The hike starts easy with a walk through thick rainforest, before things get steeper with some rocky sections and rope climbs (always a crowd favourite!). It’s a short but sweaty climb — usually 1.5–2 hours up — and the summit greets you with wide views of Johor’s lush countryside. On clear days, the horizon feels endless.

The way down is quicker, though you’ll want to watch your step on the rocks if it’s wet. All in, it’s a 3–4 hour round trip, which makes it perfect for a half-day outing.
