Clinton Social’s most popular event is back for our 11th season! (2025).

** Note that Round Valley is closing at 7pm for May.

1. Hike Start time is 6:00PM sharp. Meet at 5:50pm because most members arrive 10 minutes early (it is a social group!). Come early because we hit the trail on time!
2. Meetup Location: Meet at South lot. Google Maps Plus code: J592+R9. Do not go to the boat ramp.
3. Wear hiking boots! There are sections that may be slippery or loose gravel/rocks. Please hike safely, and within your abilities
4. Hike distance is approx 2 miles and takes about 45 minutes - 1 hour

Sunset Hike at Beautiful Round Valley Reservoir with its spectacular views. Great People turn out for this and it's lots of fun! Easy hike with a few small hills, rocks, and roots to navigate. Hiking boots are recommended. Well behaved leashed dogs are welcome.

Post hike gathering at Riley & Jakes 1831 Rt 31, Clinton, NJ. Please bring cash for easy splitting of check because they do not offer individual checks.

Escape the hustle and bustle for a peaceful paddle around the Merrill Creek Reservoir! We will explore some of the coves and other features of the Reservoir. Trip will be approximately 5.5 miles at a relaxed pace. Plan on a snack or short lunch stop.

You will need your own kayak or canoe for this trip. Minimum length for kayak is 9', Minimum length for canoe is 11'6" (their rules not mine). There are no rentals available at Merrill Creek Reservoir. Inflatable kayaks are permitted but not recommended, since we will encounter some submerged tree stumps which may have points.

All participants are required to wear a securely fastened approved personal flotation device (PFD) at all times while on the water. Securely attached water shoes or sandals are required. Flip flops are not acceptable. Dress in quick drying clothes and bring a set of dry clothes in your boat or car in case you get wet.

There are portable toilets available at the boat ramp, and at the snack/lunch spot. Rain or high winds cancel. Cell for day of hike only: 908-442-9318.

Bike with us on both the NJ and the PA side of the Delaware on the canal towpath. We will go about 27 miles, with an option to do only 20 miles. We will start and end in Lambertville at the D&R state park. We will bike south to the Scudder Falls bridge, then cross to the PA side and head north to Stockton and back to the NJ side, we will then head south to Lambertville.
We will meet at the first parking lot in the state park, just past the Lambertville station restaurant/hotel. If you are not sure how to get there go to the Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn, don’t pay for parking, go to the left of the hotel and turn into the first parking lot on the right. The GPS coordinates for the parking lot are 40°21'48.9"N 74°56'44.5"W. If the parking lot is full you can park on the side of the road and walk to the lot.
We will be biking at a comfortable pace, and we will stop a few times.
