What we’re about

Clojure/Oslo is an open and inclusive community for people who are interested in the Lisp family of programming languages, and Clojure in particular. Topics will revolve around the more general theme of creating software that is simpler, more robust, extensible and maintainable by applying functional programming principles to real-world problems.

Curious beginners are especially welcome.

Meet-up groups are for people with similar interests to connect and socialize. As such, there will also be social gatherings, where members will have the opportunity to make friends, exchange ideas, collaborate on projects, etc.

Clojure is a dynamic, general-purpose programming language which combines the approachability and interactive development of a scripting language with an efficient and robust infrastructure for multithreaded programming. As a dialect of Lisp, it shares the “code-as-data philosophy” and a powerful macro system. In addition, Clojure offers a rich set of immutable, persistent data structures.
