What's all this about?
The excitement of what's in store for cloud computing in 2020 has got us all chanting buzz words like Serverless, Microservices, Edge Computing...a reminder of how many cool things we can build with functional code on the cloud! There was great excitement at the last event we organized and a lot of people turned up and many of you asked for training on Lambda!
Therefore to help you all jump on the Serverless bandwagon we have partnered with AWS to bring you a 2-day workshop on AWS Serverless. That's right! It's 2 meetups in a row this time! You will be getting a double dose of Lambda and other Serverless services on AWS, so hang on tight!

What will you be doing?

The plan is to learn about Serverless tools on AWS (such as Lambda) and build a simple Serverless app quickly to enable users to gain an appreciation of how they can also set up something similar in no time.

Why should you attend?
Firstly, there is no cost to attend! Serverless is pretty much where apps are going, and if you are interested in technology, you stand to benefit from attending this. There are several good reasons to learning serverless technologies:

• not worrying about scalability
• more time going into app development
• more deployments.
• (for newcomers) quickly tapping into the cloud to build large apps

What do you need to bring?

• Your laptop
• An account with AWS. New users will get a "free tier" account for a year,
• A healthy curiosity

What will we provide?

• Training by AWS consultants on how to get started with Serverless

• Networking opportunities
