This book club is a gathering for those who want to share the simple joy of turning the pages of a physical book. We'll set aside our smartphones and tablets to create a quiet space for focused reading and thoughtful conversation.
You are also more than welcome to use this time for language study! Whether you're diving into a novel in a new language or studying a textbook, this is your chance to connect with words at your own pace.
Our One Unique Rule:
- No Digital Devices. To help us all immerse ourselves in the reading experience, we ask that you turn off your phone/e-reader or keep it silenced and stored away during our session. This is our key to a truly focused and relaxing time.
Agenda:
- First 10 mins: Welcome & a bit of Introductions (Share what book you brought!)
- Next 90 mins: Silent Reading / Language Study Time
- Last 20 mins: (Optional) Share your thoughts on your book or enjoy a casual chat.
What to Bring:
- At least one physical book to read (any genre is welcome!)
- (Optional) Textbooks or notebooks for language study.
- (Optional) A pen or pencil.
