This month, we have lined up two great talks with speakers that for sure are known to you!🚀

If you are attending our meetup that means you share the same passion as we do for Cloud Native technologies, and you can share your experience with the community by filling out this form: Submit a talk!

🗓️ Date: 24th October
🕕 Time: 19:00h
📍 Location: Acronis

Agenda:
19:05 - Welcome
19:15 - Demystifying Kubernetes Load Balancing - Anton Suslov, Acronis
19:50 - KCP: a Kubernetes recursion - Borislava Bagaliyska, VMware by Broadcom
20:30 - TCP Networking - talk/chat/pizza

Bio Borislava: "During my 4 year VMware/Broadcom experience as an R&D Software engineer I’ve worked on challenging projects including the legendary vRO workflow automation engine, the Idem open-source tool for multi-cloud infrastructure as data and am currently part of an amazing team developing Tanzu’s next-gen application engine platform for Kubernetes. Outside of work I cultivate my never-ending passion for deep-diving in new topics such as AI, taking part in different innovation initiatives and lecturing."

KCP a Kubernetes recursion: "I’m excited to show you around the niche but quite intriguing CNCF project “kcp”, which we in Tanzu use as a stepping stone for our application platform. It offers a fresh take on Kubernetes as a management platform, by entirely cutting the pods out of the picture and instead approaching it as a universal declarative reconciliation system, which can be used to deliver your functionality as Kubernetes-style APIs. I will explain the process of introducing new APIs by developing custom controllers with respective CRDs. But that’s not all - kcp also supports large-scale multi-tenancy by having a creative architecture of Kubernetes-in-Kubernetes (hence the meetup title). And finally I’ll even dive into a past feature it implemented for supporting multi-cluster replication, which we use today to manage clusters as cattle instead of pets.

Refreshments and networking opportunities will be available. Be sure to RSVP and save your spot for an evening of learning and community building. We look forward to seeing you there!
CNCF Community Group event: Register here as well!
