Session 1: "Adapting With the Tide: Kubernetes, Postgres, and CloudNativePG Integration" by Sergio Romera (EDB)

Embark on a journey at the dynamic intersection of Kubernetes, Postgres, and CloudNativePG. This session delves into the nuances of orchestrating Postgres databases within Kubernetes, utilising the capabilities of CloudNativePG. Attendees will gain insights into the challenges and solutions for achieving seamless containerization and scalability in cloud-native architectures.

Sergio Romera, based in Paris, is an experienced Postgres Engineer at EDB. With a rich 25-year career in IT, he's specialised in database development and administration. His experience spans prominent roles in renowned companies, including Oracle and BNP Paribas, where he managed significant IT projects. At EDB, he's focused on helping organisations develop high-availability database solutions.

Session 2: "Sly Velox, an opensource eCommerce Solution for Kubernetes" by Marco Kuendig (CTO, copebit AG) and René Hämmerli (CEO, Sly AG)

René and Marco will show the audience how Velox is very well running on Kubernetes. They show the autoscaling mechanism and how Velox can integrate in a secure manner with all the AWS services, tightly integrated in Kubernetes. Well-architected from the start.

Marco Kuendig has been in the IT Industry for almost 30 years. Currently CTO at copebit. Holds 9 AWS certifications. René Hämmerli has been in the eCommerce business his entire career. Recently started to work with Kubernetes and loves it.

Session 3: "Backstage Boost: Accelerate Developer Productivity" by Josephine Pfeiffer and Manuel Schindler (Red Hat)

This presentation delves into enhancing developer efficiency through two end-user case studies. It examines a platform engineering-focused scenario and another centered on streamlining developer onboarding. This talk aims to provide insights into optimizing development workflows and tooling, ultimately accelerating productivity in software engineering environments.

Josephine is a consultant with expertise in leveraging cloud solutions to enhance business operations. Her interests include cloud-native technologies, information security, and infrastructure. She has worked for enterprises, SMEs, and startups alike in roles spanning platform engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and technology management.
